O serviço de borrifação Ultra Baixo Volume (UBV) – Fumacê – intensifica o combate ao mosquito Aedes aegypti (transmissor da dengue, zika e chikungunya) em cinco bairros nesta quinta-feira (2).

As viaturas da Coordenadoria de Controle de Endemias Vetoriais (CCEV) da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (Sesau) de Campo Grande percorrem os bairros programados entre às 16h e 22h30 e seguem o itinerário estabelecido.

A orientação à população é para abrir portas e janelas quando o veículo passar pela rua, assim as gotículas do inseticida chegarão até o interior da residência, onde normalmente o Aedes aegypti se abriga.

A aplicação do inseticida visa atingir, principalmente, as fêmeas do mosquito causador das doenças, mas é possível que outras espécies de insetos sejam atingidas e por isso a utilização deste método de aplicação deve ocorrer de forma criteriosa.
