O IBGE (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística) anunciou na última segunda-feira (18) que cancelou o processo seletivo para as funções de agente censitário municipal e agente censitário supervisor que permanecia suspenso.

Segundo a explicação dada em um comunicado no site do órgão, o cancelamento está relacionado a não renovação de contrato com a empresa Cebraspe, que organizava o processo seletivo do Censo Demográfico 2022.

Assim, o instituto trabalha para fazer a devolução das taxas de inscrição já efetuadas para os participantes, como estava previsto no edital. As etapas e os procedimentos estarão sendo publicados nos canais oficiais do IBGE.

"O Instituto já está adotando as providências para nova seleção de empresa organizadora do processo seletivo para o Censo 2022".

O processo seletivo previa a abertura de 204 mil vagas e já havia sido suspenso em abril deste ano.

À época, a decisão foi tomada por conta da aprovação, pelo Congresso, do Orçamento para este ano, que reduziu a apenas R$ 71 milhões o valor destinado para a realização da pesquisa, o que inviabilizou a realização do Censo.
